You may have seen the trailers for Haze, the highly anticipated first person, post-apocalyptic video game for Sony Playstation 3. Haze is due to hit stores this week, and the title track which was written and recorded by Korn, and featured throughout the TV trailers, was mixed by ETHAN MATES. ATTICUS ROSS is keeping busy with NIN, Union Of Knives, Scoring the new Hughes Brothers film, and re-mixing Grace Jones. Last night the new Nine Inch Nails album The Slip, Co-Produced by ATTICUS ROSS became available as a free download. The single "Discipline," which was released last-week is already sitting at #5 on KROQ¹s most played chart. This is hot on the heels of the 36 track instrumental album Ghosts, which was also Co-Produced by Atticus, just being released in March. While getting ready to produce the new Union Of Knives album, Atticus was asked to score the Hughes Brothers section of the upcoming movie, New York I Love You. The film will debut at Cannes, and features contributions from a number of well-known filmmakers, as well as the directorial debut for both Scarlett Johansson and Natalie Portman. Atticus also just re-mixied a new Grace Jones single due to be released in June. The times stated "The Black Box Revelation is two Belgian teenagers, Jan Paternoster on guitar and Dries van Dijck on drums, whose debut album, ³Set Your Head on Fire² (Beverly Martel/T for Tunes), stomps its way toward garage-rock and proto-punk, with Mr. Paternoster yowling like Iggy Pop or Mick Jagger and calling for love. Canadian songstress Feist won the Seventh Annual Shortlist Music Prize for her album 'The Reminder' yesterday (February 4) in Los Angeles. The album was produced by GONZALES and mixed by RENAUD LETANG. She became the second female singer to win the accolade - the north American equivalent of the British Mercury Music Prize, after last year's triumph by Cat Power. Feist beat the likes of Arcade Fire, MIA, LCD Soundsystem, Justice and five other acts. Feist was chosen by a panel of judges including Gary Lightbody from Snow Patrol, who said of the record: "The album of the year for 2007 or any year I can think of: it's modern and classic all at once.
